Privacy Policy

This privacy policy describes how your information is handled when you use the CasaCheck application (hereinafter "the App"), available on iOS.

1. Core Principle: Your Privacy First

CasaCheck is designed around a clear principle: your data belongs to you. The App was developed to be a personal and private tool, dedicated to managing maintenance and tracking the equipment in your home. We do not collect, store, or transmit your personal data on our servers.

2. Data Collection and Use

Data you provide:

CasaCheck allows you to manage information related to your home maintenance, such as:

  • Properties (primary residence, vacation home, rental, etc.)
  • Equipment (boiler, ventilation, air conditioning, water softener, etc.)
  • Maintenance tasks and their deadlines
  • History of completed interventions
  • Associated photos and attachments
  • Notes, costs, and service providers (optional information)

All this data is stored locally on your device.

Synchronization via iCloud:

If you are signed in to an iCloud account on your device and iCloud Drive is enabled, your CasaCheck data is automatically synchronized between your Apple devices via your personal iCloud space. This data is stored on Apple's servers, in your private space, and remains under your exclusive control. It is governed by Apple's privacy policy.

You can disable this synchronization at any time from iOS Settings (Settings → [your name] → iCloud → CasaCheck).

Data we do not collect:

  • Your personal information (name, email, etc.)
  • Analytics, telemetry, or usage tracking data
  • Your location or advertising identifier

3. Data Storage

All data entered in CasaCheck is stored locally on your device. If iCloud synchronization is active, your data is also present in your personal iCloud space, in accordance with Apple's privacy policy. The developer of CasaCheck has no access to your information, whether stored locally or in iCloud.

4. Data Sharing

CasaCheck does not share your data with any third-party service, except iCloud from Apple for synchronization between your own devices, as described in section 2.

Your data only leaves the App through an explicit action on your part, via the backup export feature which creates a file that you can keep or share wherever you wish. You retain full control over this file after its creation.

5. Security

The security of your data relies on the protection mechanisms built into iOS and your device. Since we do not store any data on our servers, the risk of a leak from our systems is non-existent. For data synchronized via iCloud, security is ensured by Apple's encryption mechanisms.

6. Your Rights Over Your Data

You have full control over your data. At any time, you can:

  • Access your data by opening the App on any of your synchronized devices
  • Modify the information of each property, equipment, task, or intervention
  • Delete one or more items
  • Export a full backup from the settings
  • Disable iCloud synchronization from the iOS settings
  • Delete CasaCheck data stored in your iCloud from the iCloud settings on your device

7. Children's Privacy

CasaCheck is not intended for children, and we do not collect any information concerning them.

8. Changes to this Policy

This policy may be updated occasionally. We invite you to review it regularly to stay informed.
